Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a professional Estimator and Senior Estimator with Retail and/or Convenience Store Construction and Interior Finish-Out Experience.

IMPORTANT: To be considered for this estimator or senior estimator position, you MUST have experience estimating ground-up and finish-out RETAIL projects.

You will act in a key role for our client as the “starting point” for profitability. You will take a retail project from blueprint to build-out and apply your knowledge and experience to accurately estimate the proper amount of labor, materials and time necessary to finish the turnkey project with 100% customer satisfaction.

They perform complete turnkey projects for retailers and convenience stores that include:  program management, store and fixture design, site surveys, logistic and consolidation services, construction management, store and fixture installation.

This company has experienced 35% growth every year since start-up in 1990 and work with some of the largest retailers in the United States. With sales over $115 million last year, large-scale growth, expansion and promotion opportunities abound.

Salary Range:

$60-90,000 depending on level of experience..

Duties Include:

• Work closely with internal management staff including Sales, Project Managers and Operations Managers.
• Work closely with clients, partners, subcontractors and service providers.
• Solicit, qualify and evaluate bids from subcontractors.
• Analyzing and comprehending project specs, RFPs, plans and blueprints.
• Designing complete and accurate takeoff’s.
• Provide complete estimates in proposal forms.
• Assigning cost values to all aspects of projects.
• Developing and writing scope of work for all projects for every subcontractor
• Accurately assess and determine labor requirements
• Quickly estimate change orders and deliver to necessary project manger when required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience estimating projects in a RETAIL environment ground-up and interior finish-out is REQUIRED for consideration.
• Excellent skills in mathematics.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Degree in Engineering or Architecture is preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and organizational skills.
• Ability to show a proven track record of project successes.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD or CAD-related software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
