Position Overview:

Our large, extremely successful client is looking for (5) EXPERIENCED Project Managers interested in a true career opportunity with a recognized national leader in interior finish-out for retail companies. Due to on-going growth and expansion plans, this is NOT a temporary position.

 

IMPORTANT: To be considered for this key management role, you MUST have experience managing interior finish-out projects in a RETAIL and/or CONVENIENCE STORE environment.

 

As Project Manager you will act as a liaison between your dedicated team and our client’s project contacts which represent some of the largest and most recognizable retail chains in the nation. You will be in constant contact with internal management staff including sales and operations as well as clients, partners and service providers.

 

There is real potential in this position for career advancement. A large percentage of project managers within this company became a Senior Project Manager or Director quickly.

 

You will have a support staff working under you including a Coordinator Assistant. This position only requires travel about 25% of the time, which is a big plus in this industry.

 

 

Client Overview:

Our Dallas based client is the industry-leading retail services solution provider. Their 600+ employees perform complete turnkey projects for top national retailers and convenience stores that include:  program management, store and fixture design, site surveys, logistic and consolidation services, construction management, store and fixture installation.

 

This company has experienced 35% growth EVERY YEAR since their start-up in 1990 and work with some of the largest and best known retailers in the United States. With a long history of consistently impressive sales and aggressive large-scale growth and expansion, promotion opportunities abound.

           

 

Salary Range:

Base $70,000-$75,000 plus bonus and GREAT benefits

 

 

Compensation Package Includes:

  • Bonus of at least 10% or more likely, depending on the success and profitability of your projects. Some Project Mangers received bonuses of well over 100% last year.

Duties Include:

  • Managing people: internal project team, subcontractors, vendors, client contacts
  • Managing projects involved with retail interior finish-outs, remodeling, resets and new store program management accounts for big name retailers and/or convenience stores
  • Providing clients with scope and specification development, project budgets, permit execution, vendor coordination and quality assurance control systems.
  • Leading project meetings when necessary.
  • Providing consistent reports to Corporate management and client project contacts on project progress.
  • Ability to travel to out of town meetings when necessary (estimated at less than 25% of the time)

 

 

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience managing interior finish-out projects in a RETAIL and/or CONVENIENCE STORE environment is REQUIRED for consideration.
  • Experience in the following areas: new store build-out, remodels, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, metals, studs and drywall.
  • Ability to work with 3-4 ongoing projects at one time.
  • Experience writing and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong verbal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, teaming, and people management skills.
  • Ability to show a proven track record of project management successes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Working knowledge of project management software
  • Relocation assistance to the Dallas area will not be provided by our client
