Payroll Specialist // Denver, CO
Description
The Payroll Specialist is a professional, responsible for the day-to-day processing of wages, bonus, incentive and other forms of pay for all Company employees. Payroll Specialist is Company expert resource on functionality of payroll system and its interface with time and attendance system.Responsibilities
• Coordinate Bi-Weekly payroll processing for Company personnel• Processing and/or production of off-cycle payroll as required
• Ensures accurate and timely input and/or import of all benefits data relative to health premium calculation and charges, and 401k contributions
• Acts as expert resource in resolving payroll relates issues identified by employees, other HR staff, and management.
• Maintains payroll backup files (hard copy and electronic) in an organized manner that assures support of any changes to employee pay files
• Administrators payroll procedures, including systems configuration issues and year end W2 processing
• Identifies, recommends and helps initiate changes to payroll system and processes so that overall they support payroll accuracy and timeliness to the maximum extent possible
• Train a department designee as back-up payroll processor and maintain that person’s readiness to perform payroll tasks as necessary
• Maintain written instructions and narrative so they always match current procedures
• Use ADP ReportSmith to develop, maintain and run reports (custom and standard) as needed by management
• Act as Company liaison with internal auditors for routine and annual payroll related audits
• Work closely with Corporate HR, Payroll and IT resources on any issues affecting payroll accuracy, timeliness or effectiveness.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years experience in payroll, preferably ADP PCPW, HRIS and Kronos Timekeeping systems.• Experience processing bi-weekly, multiple location, 2000 to 3000 total employee payroll
• Certified payroll professional designation is a plus
• Proven written and verbal communication skills
• Thorough, detail oriented, highly organized and efficient work habits
• Service oriented style with the ability to work with all levels of the organization

Description
Provides HR generalist support to the managers, supervisors and employee of a facility or employee group of 250 to 500 people. Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, labor relations, employment equity programs, commmunications, compensation and benefits.Responsibilities
• Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.• Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
• Acts as expert resource in resolving payroll relates issues identified by employees, other HR staff, and management.
• Facilitates and/or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or a related field.• One to two years experience in Human Resources Management.
• Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred.
• Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
• Thorough, detail oriented, highly organized and efficient work habits
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to formulate and execute creative solutions to complex, ambiguous interpersonal problems.
